How it works

Regular filter replacement is vital to protect the delicate reverse osmosis membrane in your W2W Maxiflow RO system.

Providing you have basic DIY skills, you will be able to replace the filters in your RO system quickly and easily.

The W2W Maxiflow 10″ carbon and sediment filter removes impurities including silt, rust, sand, algae sediment, scale particles and dirt, along with herbicides, pesticides, chlorine, and chlorine by-products.

The in-line Carbon GAC cartridge removes lingering odours and improves the taste of drinking water after the RO membrane.

Replace filters regularly

Over time, water filter cartridges become clogged up with the impurities and contaminants they collect.

This can affect the quality and taste of your drinking water.

Sediment and Carbon water filters in reverse osmosis systems need to be replaced every 6 to 12 months, depending on how much water you use and the quality of your source water.

Please note the Maxiflow Reverse Osmosis DIY Filter Kit does not include a Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane.

RO membranes last up to 4 years depending on water usage and regularly replacing sediment and carbon filters will help to protect the life of the RO membrane in your Maxiflow system.

W2W Maxiflow Reverse Osmosis filter systems remove up to 99% of the excess salts, metals, chemicals (including PFAS), calcium, bacteria, and viruses from source water.

FAQ's

Water Usage

The Reverse Osmosis process can use up to three litres of source water for every litre of pure water it produces.

It’s worth remembering this water can be collected and used for your laundry, washing up and watering the garden to minimise waste.

Removes vital minerals

Reverse osmosis removes up to 99% of water’s naturally occurring minerals.  However, this must be balanced against the health benefits of removing the harmful pollutants and chemicals in our water.

Re-mineralisation and other optional filters can easily be combined with the W2W Maxiflow RO system.
