W2W Automatic Water Softener

W2W Automatic Water Softeners (also known as volumatic), are plumbed into your mains water supply before it enters your home or workplace.

Made from hard-wearing moulded plastic, the water softener’s brine tank can treat 40 litres of water every minute.

The resin filter removes excess calcium, iron and magnesium from the water before it is fed to your faucets, shower and water-fed appliances like kettles, AC units and washing machines.

Regular automatic regeneration of the water softener system flushes away the caught minerals and maintains the quality and softness of your water.

You need to add salt every 2 to 3 months and will get an automatic reminder on the system.

The process is similar to the salt rinse cycle used in dishwashers.

Water usage is constantly monitored by a microprocessor, and a daily reserve capacity is set, based on your water quality.

When softened water reserves get low, the softener automatically regenerates at a pre-set time (usually overnight).

Automatic softeners require 240 volts to operate. There is a 24-volt “step down” transformer for outdoor electrical safety.

The digital display lets you know when it’s time to add more salt and each automatic regeneration uses around 4.5kg of salt and the tank has an overall capacity of 50kg.

Salt does not affect the taste of the softened water.

We recommend regularly sanitising the cabinet and checking for any damage that could allow contaminants to enter the unit.
