Replace filters regularly

To protect the delicate reverse osmosis membrane in your Manual 4-Stage Reverse Osmosis system, the carbon and sediment pre and post-RO filters should be replaced every 6 to 12 months.

Filter replacement frequency will depend on the amount of water passing through the system and the quality of the source water being filtered.

We sell DIY RO Replacement filter kits.

How does it work?

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is the ultimate way to purify your drinking water supply to keep you hydrated and healthy.

Water goes through four filtration stages with this wall-mount or laundry RO system.

Sediment and carbon pre and post-RO filters remove dirt, heavy metals and impurities like silt, sand, dirt, chlorine and pesticides.

The water is then forced at pressure through the tiny pores of the thin, semi-permeable RO membrane which removes ions, calcium and contaminants to create purified water.

The final stage passes the water through the carbon filter to remove any odours, improve the taste and soften the water.

RO removes up to 99% of contaminants, excess salts, metals, chemicals (including PFAS and other “forever chemicals”), bacteria and viruses.

Where to locate your RO system

This compact 4-Stage RO system can be connected to any mains-fed water outlet, providing there is access to the in-flow water pipe.

Most of our customers connect the manual RO system to the same water supply as a washing machine in the laundry room.

The tank-free, lightweight RO system can also be wall-mounted, or sit under any sink with a mains water supply.

Use the tap to allow filtered water to flow into your chosen container from the hose on the filter system.

Want a faucet and storage tank with your RO Filter System?

The W2W 4-Stage Reverse Osmosis System comes with a pressurised storage tank and a slimline faucet for your sink.

Taking care of a Reverse Osmosis filter system

To protect drinking water quality, you should replace the sediment and carbon filters every 6 to 12 months, depending on usage and the quality of your source water.

Regular filter replacement also protects the delicate RO membrane which has a lifespan of up to 4 years.

We recommend annual servicing and system sanitisation for optimum performance.

We ship replacement filters and DIY Filter Kits across Australia.

FAQ's

No – you dispense filtered water directly from the hose with this manual RO filter system.

It means you only use the water you need and don’t have to find space for a pressurised storage tank or drill a hole into your countertop.

It’s a great option for rental properties and where under sink space is limited.

If you would like RO filtered water to be available “on tap,” Water2water provides a slimline faucet for your sink and a 15L pressurised storage tank with the W2W 4-Stage Reverse Osmosis Filter system.

Reverse osmosis removes up to 99% of all chemicals, minerals and chlorine which can affect the taste of tap water.

RO filtered water does not interfere with the flavour of your coffee, allowing you to make the perfect brew.

Removing the chlorine and calcium also protects the internal components of coffee machines and reduces scale build-up.

The sediment and carbon filters need to be changed every 6 to 12 months, depending on how much water you use and the quality of the water passing through the filters.

These filtration stages protect the delicate semi-permeable RO membrane.

Over time, carbon and sediment filters can become clogged up with contaminants which reduces their effectiveness.

The RO membrane will last up to 4 years if you regularly replace the sediment and carbon filters.
